From the day our first teacher asked, “What is two plus two?” we’ve been taught to fear failure and avoid it at all costs. We’ve been taught to view the world - and ourselves - through the lens of absolutes. We’re either right or wrong, good or bad, successful… or a failure.
But what if that lens were defective? What if a twist of the kaleidoscope through which you see the world, your business, and yourself could break the chains that keep you from achieving your dreams?
My name is Preston True. I grew up in Chicago, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English, and worked - like so many of my clients - through a series of jobs and promotions that fed my family but didn’t feed my heart or spirit. I was making a living, but not a fulfilling life.
I finally realized that the definitions of success and failure on which my career decisions had been based were holding me back, and that the wisdom and insight gained through my successes and failures had value for many more people than the friends and colleagues who came to me for council or advice.
I left the security of a familiar job, moved my family to Michigan, and embarked on what has become a life-long learning and training process as a professional coach.
Today, I work with technical entrepreneurs, professionals and organizations who are leaders in their industries and who make a huge difference in their communities.
It all started when I looked into the mirror and said, “I’m frustrated, I’m scared, but I see what is possible.” At that moment, I forever changed my relationship with time, money and failure… to create a business and life that I love.
I am trained, coached and accountable to Accomplishment Coaching. As a professional coach, I am committed to the highest integrity of my results, my practice and my industry. I am a member of the International Coach Federation and a graduate of Accomplishment Coaching’s Coach Training Program.
